Member representing Isoko Federal Constituency, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko, has commended Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori over the completion of the construction of Emevor-Ivrogbo/Orogun Road phase 1 in Emevor with an appeal for the award of second phase.
The Peoples Democratic Party’s House of Representatives member gave the commendation on Tuesday during the inauguration of the 4.04km road by Governor Oborevwori, accompanied by his wife, Deaconess Tobore, State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, State PDP Chairman, Barr. Kingsley Esiso, among other top government functionaries.
According to Hon. Ukodhiko, “the Emevor-Orogun road is one of key road infrastructure projects in the State that was inherited from the previous administration, and completed by the present administration of Governor Oborevwori.
“It is a very significant road project that will change the agro-economic fortunes of the host communities of Emevor in Isoko North Local Government Area and Orogun in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
“Again, this all-important road will not only make traveling quite seamless but it will further open Emevor, Orogun and their environs for massive infrastructural development.
“On behalf of the people of Emevor Kingdom and Isoko-nation in general, I thank and commend our in-law, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for the completion of the phase 1 of the Emevor-Ivrogbo/Orogun road and the establishment of the State Health College in Ovrode.
“We are very happy about the completion and inauguration today of the phase 1 of the road as it will see to the easing of the burden of and the difficulty experienced by the people of the host communities, including motorists and motorcycle riders.
The Isoko Federal lawmaker while hailing Governor Oborevwori for his commitment towards the provision of the road infrastructure in line with his MORE agenda to make transportation easy and enjoyable, appealed for the award of the second phase of the road.
Hon. Ukodhiko added that, “As Governor, Rt. Hon. Oborevwori in the last one year has shown he is a good leader who loves the Isoko people with the Emevor-Orogun Road phase one completion. We appreciate his noble intentions and commitment towards the growth and advancement of our communities.”
